The Connecticut dentist accused of pulling 20 teeth from a patient has been charged in the patient’s death, according to FOX News. Rashmi Patel is being charged with a misdemeanor criminally negligent homicide in the death of Judith Gan after her oxygen levels dropped dangerously low during a procedure. An investigation into Gan’s death concluded that Patel failed to notice that Gan was in distress and ignored her previous medical history. Patel violated care standards while treating a second patient, who inhaled a piece of gauze during a procedure, but recovered from the incident.
