The Connecticut dentist who worked on Judith Gan is being accused of malpractice after the 64-year-old woman died during a dental procedure in February, according to the Huffington Post. Gan was undergoing a procedure, including the extraction of 20 teeth, by Dr. Rashmi Patel, despite the dental assistant begging him to discontinue; the assistant ran out and called 911 after Gan flat-lined. A doctor associated with the Connecticut Department of Public Health, after investigating the incident, concluded that Patel, whose license has since been suspended, was negligent, and Gan’s death could have been prevented.
