A chemical spill at a Central Texas plant has injured at least five people, according to NBC DFW. The incident occurred at the Carpenter Co. plant, which makes foam products, in Temple early Tuesday morning. Three employees reported breathing problems afterward, and were decontaminated at the scene. An emergency medical services worker also reported having trouble breathing. All four people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. A firefighter that was also exposed to the chemical was treated on the scene and returned to work. Investigators are now determining the cause of the leak and how much of the chemical was released.
