A 70-year-old man that was beaten outside of a Dallas restaurant has taken matters into his own hands by suing three of the parties he believes to be responsible, according to the Dallas Morning News. Three men attacked Luis Rocha Sr. outside of Campisi’s restaurant on Mockingbird Lane and Greenville Avenue about 10 months ago, but police have not yet made any arrests. As a result, Rocha has had multiple surgeries, including a reconstruction of the right side of his face with titanium plates and screws, and suffers from nerve damage and neck pain. Rocha is now suing Campisi’s, its neighbor, Radio Shack, and the building’s landlord, citing insufficient lighting and security. Rocha’s attorney alleges the crime was both preventable and foreseeable, as the area has a high-crime rate and similar attacks had occurred in recent years.
