An ambulance responding to a fatal crash was the victim of a hit-and-run early Monday, according to the Dallas Morning News. The ambulance responded to the accident at about 1:30 a.m. after 22-year-old Rebecca Keel, of Hurst, lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a tree in North Arlington. Keel was pronounced dead at the scene. A white pickup then hit the ambulance head-on, and the occupants fled. The passenger of the vehicle was arrested and charged with public intoxication. The driver, however, has not been found. NBC 5 reported that the responders with the ambulance sustained minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.
