The man accused of killing four people during a tragic accident at last year’s South by Southwest festival has pled not guilty, according to NBC DFW. The 23-year-old suspect, Rashad Owens, allegedly sped through a crowd of people while intoxicated during the Austin festival, which killed four people and injured 20 others. He is being charged with one count of capital murder, four murder counts, and 24 counts of aggravated assault. He will appear at a pretrial hearing on October 15th, and jury selection will begin on October 26th.
