The accident happened on U.S. 59 in the east Texas town, though details of what caused the accident are not yet known, according to AP News. The school bus had finished dropping students off and was carrying only the bus driver and her children; they were taken to a nearby hospital after the crash and believed to be unharmed. The driver of the 18-wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene, and the status of the driver of the third vehicle, a truck, has not been made public. Emergency personnel cleaned up the hazardous material spilled during the accident.
