Nearly two weeks after being attacked by her neighbor’s dog, a woman died from complications due the bites, according to NBC DFW. 83-year-old Petra Aguirre, a former religious education teacher at St. Gabriel’s, was feeding her cats in her backyard when she was attacked by the American Staffordshire Terrier mix on March 31st in Bexar County. She suffered bites to her head, neck, arms, and legs; the neighbor was cited for the attack. The dog, who was also involved in an attack on a 13-year-old boy, was surrendered and euthanized by Animal Care Services.
